About Us

We were founded in 1978. Not a church, but a movement…

First Latin Assembly of God was born in the home of Reverend Joe and Guadalupe Aguilar. And, after much variation in location and pastorate, the church would build its home on Wets Lane off of Highway 46 and would open its doors for thirty years. Unbeknownst to any one of its 20 members, God was ordering events, anointing leaders, and preparing a place for the movement He would set into motion.

2013 arrived and with it came the beginnings of a season; a season of transformation. It would call on the congregation and its newly appointed senior pastors, Reverend Adams and Becky Aguilar, to rise in faith and pursue the vision that God had prepared them for.

This vision would call First Latin out of seclusion and into the open; into the heart of the growing, changing city. It wasn’t over, though. Our faith, the faith of our senior pastors would be shaken and tested against mountains of opposition. In 2014, God would greatly reward the persistence and obedience of our faithful members and humble pastors by blessing them with the 11,520 square foot campus on North Camp Street free of debt, without payments.

As 2014 came to a close, 2015 would bring in a season of revitalization. It was at this time that the church not only adopted a new image, but it developed a new purpose. The vision which God had prepared before the church consisted of rooting the Gospel into our communities.

This meant training up leaders and instituting programs that would serve the families in Seguin. It meant investing in our children, raising up leaders out of our youth and adult ministries, involving ourselves in our schools and interceding for our city’s leadership. It is inspiring to stand witness to the impact God is producing in our community through the leaders, programs, and ministries established here at First Latin; and He is far from done.

First Latin Assembly of God is alive and moving. We are reaching, connecting, and empowering our community through the living word and faithful promises of God. We invite you to join us for spirit-filled worship and an indispensable word for today’s church. Come and be a part of what God is doing in Seguin, TX and the surrounding areas.
